Staff Bios

Family Medicine Associates (FMA) was formed by Steve G. Johnson, M.D. and J. Mike White, M.D. in June of 1980. Initially the office was located at the Medical Arts Building, 108 W. Kilpatrick here in Cleburne. In October of 1980, Family Medicine Associates then moved to 1300 N. Anglin. J. Stan Johnson, M.D. joined the partnership in December 1980. In July 1984, Gerald L. Kiel, M.D. moved to Cleburne and joined the group.

The partnership remained the same until January of 1986, when H. Bruce Daniels, M.D. was added. Joshua Family Medicine Associates; a satellite clinic located at 3517 S.W. Wilshire Blvd., Joshua, Texas was opened in May of 1986. Family Medicine Associates became a Professional Association (P.A.) in August of 1988 and we changed our name to Family Medicine Associates, P.A. In January of 1992, the Health and Heart Center, located at 1208 W. Henderson, became part of Family Medicine Associates.

In February of 1992, Eberhard Samlowski, M.D. joined the association and became part owner in March of 1993. March 1, 1993, Family Medicine Associates moved to the Medical Plaza One building next to Walls Regional Hospital. In July of 1995, Ann M. Schmidt, M.D. joined the association and became part owner in July of 1996. After a long battle with cancer, Dr. Schmidt passed away in July of 1999. In August of 1995, Robert M. Miller, M.D. joined the association and became part owner in January of 1997. In September of 1997, John T. Dang, M.D. joined the association and became part owner in September of 1998.

In July of 1998, Steven A. Farzam, M.D. joined Family Medicine Associates, P.A. and became part owner in January of 2001. In August of 2000, J. Gregory Hoffman, M.D. and Stephanie J. Morton, M.D. joined Family Medicine Associates, P.A. In April of 2005, Dr. Daniels transferred to Walls Regional Hospital as a Hospitalist. In July of 2005, Dr. Farzam moved his practice to the 5th floor at Walls Regional Hospital.
